Emily Bett Rickards was born in July 1991. She is a Canadian actress best known for her role for her role as Felicity in The CW's TV show Arrow. Rickards was born and raised to British Columbia. When she was a kid, Rickards started her career by exploring musical theater. She then moved on to dancing. Later, she hoped to try professional acting. Her high school graduation was early and attended the Vancouver Film School, completing the Acting Essentials Program. After completing the program and attending an audition open to the public, which gained her an agent. She attended The Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver. She began as an one-episode as a special guest, but thanks to the positive response from viewers, and her sharp comedy, she was hired for the second season as regular.
