Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu was born in the US. She is an American actress, a singer and voice-over artist. She's attractive and skilled actress that has inspired many Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. She gained fame after numerous popular roles in the series. The most notable was the Ally McBeal series, where she portrayed Ling Woo the villainous character. The actress took her initial success into big screen roles in films like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Her performance was outstanding in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. Around the same time she was also in lead roles in some film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became a voice actress for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role on the small screen on Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. A recurring role in the critically-acclaimed police drama series Southland helped re-establish herself as a prominent actress. Liu has a lot of care when selecting her roles, so she doesn't get typecast. She's taken on her Chinese heritage but hasn't let it restrict her creativity.
