Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, TV host and actress most well-known for her role as host of the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised among Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes out of a very troubled background. Sheryl was raised by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered with Polio. When she was growing up, there were many arguments between her mother and father. Sheryl claimed that in one instance, her mother had stabbed an uncle of her daughter as she was too close to him. Sheryl when she graduated from college, joined the army. However her interest lay in comedy. She was the first female winner of the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. Her TV professional career started in 1992 as a participant on the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. The host was on TV in the year 2000 on Oh Drama! Since 2011, she has been a cohost of the talk show. She has also played an unnamed character on programs like Bulworth Nicki as well as Beauty Shop.
