Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian and television host popular as the anchor on The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised in Arkansas between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from a family that has had a lot of problems. She spent most her childhood taking care of her sister Frankie. Frankie was a patient of polio. As a teenager, she experienced many issues with her mother. Sheryl states that in one instance her mother stabbed her father for being too close with her. Sheryl when she graduated from college was drafted into the military. Her passion was comedy. She became the first woman to be a finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her TV career when she was frequently performing on The HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She also appeared in 2000 as host of the television show Oh Drama! In the past, she has been host on The Talk since 2011. Also, she's appeared as an unnamed character on shows such as Bulworth Nicki and Beauty Shop.
